Scouts of all Faiths
in our Troop

Zack Lopez achieves the rank of Eagle!

Posted by bvincelette on Apr 15 2024 - 4:26pm

Zack joined scouts in 8th grade and embraced all that scouting had to offer. Although a late starter he is a great example of what can be

accomplished with hard work, while having a lot of fun! Zack is always eager to help others and to join in on a new adventure. He loved

his time at Camp Yawgoog, Mt Monadnock, AT camping and countless troop campouts. Zack is also very proud of his Eagle project at

Earle Park off of main street where new fencing was installed along with a number of bat houses. Congratulations Zack!

Ryan Ouellette achieves the rank of Eagle

Posted by bvincelette on Mar 29 2024 - 4:58pm

Ryan Ouellette joined scouts in the first grade and has been hard at work throughout his scouting experience. He led as an ASPL,

Patrol leader and Instructor and has gone on many camping trips with the troop. Included highlights: Yawgoog summer camp for 10+ weeks,

backpacking the AT, high adventure Maine and exploring the Adirondacks. Ryan was also a prolific fundraiser leading our troop for 4 straight years.

Ryan is most proud of earning 49 merit badges along with his Eagle project, which entailed building a Gaga pit for the Gideon Welles school.

Congratulations Ryan!

2024 Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Trip

Posted by bvincelette on Mar 19 2024 - 8:22am

25 Scouts and Adults, including Mason (Webelos 2) and his family, ventured out for an amazing trip to see the Statue of Liberty

and Ellis Island. We traveled by Car, Train, Subway and Ferry to see this amazing symbol of American freedom and liberty. Scouts

learned about the history of construction and the importance of this mighty symbol. We then continued onto Ellis island where

scouts explored the stories of immigration into the United States of America and how future citizens risked everything for a

chance to be part of our great nation. The camping and weather was awesome as we enjoyed the Seton Scout Reservation in

Greenwich with an amazing campfire program to finish off the evening. Another Troop 156 trip of great memories.
